1. Using the service

These terms apply to your use of removebackground.me (the “service”). By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using it. You must be legally able to agree to these terms, or use the service with permission and supervision from a parent or guardian.

removebackground.me is an independent service and is not affiliated with remove.bg or Canva.

2. Your images and permissions

You retain your rights in the images you provide. You give us permission to process them and send them to our processing provider as needed to deliver the service. You must have the rights and permissions needed to upload, edit, and use each image, including permission relating to identifiable people where required.

You may use your results for personal or commercial purposes to the extent your rights in the original image and any added content allow. Editing an image does not give you rights to someone else’s work, likeness, or trademark.

3. Acceptable use

Do not use the service for unlawful, infringing, abusive, or exploitative content. Do not interfere with its operation, bypass security or usage restrictions, distribute malware, or overload the service with automated requests. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address abuse or protect the service.

4. Processing and third-party content

Automatic background removal sends your image through our server to fal.ai. Manual adjustments and downloads run in your browser. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Photos supplied by Pexels are subject to the Pexels License. You are responsible for checking that your intended use of a background photo and any depicted people, brands, or property is permitted.

5. Pricing and future paid features

Guests can edit and download low-resolution previews for free. Google login and one test credit unlock a full-resolution result. Further edits and downloads of that result are included until expiry, three hours after upload. New accounts start with zero credits; the site owner can issue test credits. Purchases and subscriptions are not enabled.

Before paid features launch, we will provide the applicable purchase, renewal, cancellation, and refund terms. You will have an opportunity to review them before making a purchase.

6. Availability and results

Automated results may contain errors or need manual refinement. Review your result before using it and keep your own copies of important files. Features may change or become temporarily unavailable, and browser-stored work can be lost when you clear site data or change devices.

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as available without a guarantee of uninterrupted operation or suitability for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable consumer protections.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service changes. The date above identifies the latest revision. Material changes will be highlighted on the service, and any additional agreement required by law will be requested before those changes apply.
